What have we accomplished so far:

3-25-09 House Bill 4050, which amends the Taxi Safety Act of 2007,  passes the House of Representatives.

2-8-08 State Representative Renée Kosel introduced HB4837 to amend the Taxi Safety Act of 2007. The bill adds additional stipulations regarding age of drivers, licensing, and restriction of driving privileges for certain offenses.

6-14-07 House Bill 3412 passed the House with the Amendment.  Governor Blagojevich signed the bill into law on September 11, 2007.

5-18-07 House Bill 3412 passed the Senate with the amendment.  It was not unanimous - 49 Y, 5 N and 5NV.  It is now being sent back to the House for a concurrence vote. If passed, it will be sent to the Governor for his approval. 

5-10-07 House Bill 3412 passed through committee  unanimously with the amendment.  It will now be sent to the senate floor for debate and vote.
